Power
- Persistent and frenetic attempts of the Western propaganda and diplomacy are to make the world believe that the Western powers are decent and credible and not vicious and opportunistic.
- The Western imperious powers have expurgated truth and justice from their code of the conduct of war. Everything is fair and just in holding young Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay indefinitely in tormenting and inhuman conditions without fair trial.
- Lucid intervals of sanity for humanity in the 21st century, during which there will be no wars, are yet to begin. The 20th century saw four major wars from the First World War to the Viet Nam War and more than a dozen minor but equally explosive conflicts, when mankind went berserk and more than 20 million people were killed in the last hundred years in war mania fought by the West directly or caused by them indirectly. This is the culmination of Western enlightenment and reason in the saga of human progress.
- Power makes people unrelenting and least conciliatory.
- Powerful become powerful because people are afraid of them.
- Fear encourages power to oppress and terror emboldens it to devastate .

About Rasheed Akhund
In every family, if one is lucky, there appears a figure so marvellously singular, so steeped in wisdom and warmth that he becomes a sort of personal North Star. Rasheed Ahmed Akhund was such a man; measured, principled and enigmatic. A man who, like the best of us, lived not for show but for substance. He belonged to a dwindling class of men who thought deeply, spoke sparingly and forgave quietly.

“lf you attempt to prove existence of God with cold logic, you will land him in contradictions. If you feel him warmly, he is universal love and sense of perfection.”
