They also ruled over the largest empire in the world with restrained greed and brought the benefit of science to their colonies. Every evil has some good in it.
An Englishman’s morality begins and ends in utilitarian comforts for the most.
The English possess robust common sense. They ruled the largest empire in the world with it, and did not need geniuses; raw power, brutality and tact were enough.
The European colonists and missionaries inherited the earth from the 18th century onwards for the reason that they were not meek. They were more shrewd and lucky than the rest of the world; and definitely unbiblical.
The English are not extremists like French. They modestly indulge in their immodesties.
