Happiness

  1. We seize brief moments of happiness in life from the unending flow of drudgery, ennm or pam.
  2. Pleasure comes from the excitement of activity and happiness comes from its quality.
  3. The cost of comfortable living in an unjust society is stabs of conscience.
  4. Existence is meaningful because it is intellectually revealing and emotionally fulfilling, even though it gives so much pain and grief, but with the moments of peace and happiness.
  5. Quest for happiness is justification of the defiant self, asserting dignity and freedom of will in the despair of nihilistic existence.
  6. There is more pain than happiness in life. True purpose of civilization is to mitigate pain.
  7. Seek not happiness in the clamour of the world. It is within you.
  8. Life is lived in the moments of happiness, but in the routine of drndgery.
  9. Happiness is an upsurge of joyous emotions in momentary flashes, mitigating monotony and tedium which are lasting states made up of cares and burdens.
  10. For the fun-ridden masses, pleasures of wine, women and dance are pursuits of happiness.
  11. Fun is worth taking seriously, but not totally .
  12. Happiness does not lie in wealth or glory. It is in tranquility.
